About EC 2026
Here is a little about the English Challenge.
Background
Over the past 14 years, EFA has been running its Belt System to try to encourage and motivate staff to engage with English.
From 2026 the Belt System will be replaced by the English Challenge. This offers you a yearly challenge to practice your English.
How do I participate and get my EC2026 sticker?
There are 5 different challenges you can attempt. If you complete one of them, you will get your sticker for this year (like BLS training). If you want to do more challenges, that is great, but you can only get the sticker one time per year. These are the different challenges:
- 書く: Write an article for the EDN, or submit an English paper/abstract for proofreading
- 会話: Complete the exercise and return it to EFA
- 試験: Submit proof of taking an English test (TOEIC, EIKEN etc.) this year
- 単語: Complete the word challenge game and submit your results
- 参加: Join an EFA Lesson, an EFA Event, or an ASO GCPC Program
Once you have joined one of these and completed the challenge, we will automatically deliver your English Challenge Sticker.
